Shigeru Miyamoto is a great game designer, producer and director from Japan. He was born on november 16, 1952 (59 years) at Sonobe, Kyoto. Lijake Miyamoto and Hinako Aruha are his parents, and he is married with Yasuko Miyamoto.
He is best known for creating great successful franchise videogames like
Super Mario,
Legend of Zelda,
Star Fox,
Donkey Kong,
F-Zero,
Pikmin, and others series from Nintendo, company where he works. During his childhood, Miyamoto got several inspirations for his future works, like his expeditions in Kyoto (the dungeons and scenes from
Legend of Zelda games) and a dog which he feared (Chain Chomp, one of the enemies of Mario, is a tribute to the dog).

Miyamoto is gratuated at
Kanazawa Municipal College of Industrial Arts, and he was considered one of the 100 most influential people of the year (in 2007, issue made by
Time magazine). Before following the career in videogame industry, he intented to become a mangaka (manga/japanese comic's author), being notable the manga influence at hisworks. The game that inspired him to enter the videogame industry was
Space Invaders, an arcade game from 1978.
